The Leaks So Far
So, about five days ago, I made a video about Minecraft 1.22 and what might be added based on some teasers and leaks from this guy named John. He’s been right about stuff before, and one of his big leaks was that January 8th (yep, tomorrow!) would be a big day for Minecraft updates. And guess what? He was right!
Mojang posted a teaser with two rock emojis and two googly-eye emojis. They even included a picture of what looks like a rock. Now, you’re probably thinking, “What’s up with this rock?” Honestly? Same. I don’t know either! But the image description says “Load Stone.”
Here’s the thing: a lodestone is already in Minecraft, but it could also mean the real-life lodestone, which is a magnetic rock. So, could we be getting magnetic blocks in Minecraft? Maybe! Imagine magnets in the game—how cool would that be?
The Nature Update?
Another teaser showed this rock sitting on some grass with flowers around it. That teaser screamed nature update to me. Plus, another teaser from WhatsApp had falling leaves and the word “Tomorrow.” I mean, come on—falling leaves, flowers, rocks—it’s all pointing to something nature-themed.
Oh, and there’s more. On TikTok, they posted a teaser with leaf textures and hinted at a possible seasonal update. Yep, seasons in Minecraft! Think spring, summer, fall, and winter—different biomes for each season. That would be insane, right?
What Else Could Be Coming?
Here’s what else we might be getting based on leaks:
- Fireflies: Remember when they teased fireflies ages ago and then removed them? Looks like they might finally be back!
- New Pig Variants: Pigs could get some love this time around, maybe even a swamp-specific pig variant.
- More Biome Updates: Swamps, forests, and other biomes could see some big changes.
